The VIBRANT Producers

Working Group

This year we merged two of our working groups into one. This change was to serve our main target audience, farmers, ranchers, and food businesses.

The merged working groups have the name, Vibrant Producers. Our working group meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 12pm via Zoom. The goals and meeting objectives are outlined as follows:

Meeting schedule for 2021

    • February- Strategic Plan Overview
      • Background Reviewed the Wyoming Food Freedom Act
        • Research the requirements of the designated agent and transportation (time and temperature control)
        • Standardize and communicate labeling verbiage.
      • Goals, Priorities, Objectives
        • Create jobs and support agricultural diversification, and sustainability
        • Develop market
        • Conduct food system research
      • Recommendations and Next Steps
        • Research the Grown in Wyoming Bucking Horse Logo, Costs, rebrand,
        • Working with UW Extension on comprehensive and coordinated effort to update database
        • Develop cold storage, regional hubs
    • March – Cooperative & Regional Infrastructure Development
    • April – E-commerce and Marketing Support and Development
    • May – Financing our Vision
    • June – Grower-Buyer Meeting
    • July-September – Taking a break for harvesting season
    • October – Review of year
    • November – Planning for 2022
    • December – WFC 3rd Annual Conference
