Monthly Speaker Series hosted by the Wyoming Food Coalition

The Wyoming Food Coalition is hosting a monthly Speaker Series, where each will be on the last Thursday of each month, 6:30-7:30pm, unless otherwise notified. This series is delivered virtually via zoom, where attendees can participate in a presentation hosted by 1 of the 7 working groups. Below you will find the schedule and how to join.

Wyoming Food Coalition June Speaker Series

CWC Beginning Farmer Training Program and Farm Incubator

Central Wyoming College (CWC) recently launched its Beginning Farmer Training Program and Farm Incubator. Through it, fruit and vegetable farmers are provided land and farm infrastructure, technical and financial training, business start-up and marketing support. Located at the 127-acre Alpine Science Institute outside Lander, the farm incubator is on the site of a former University of Wyoming ag experiment station that contains a late 1800s heritage fruit orchard. Join CWC’s 2021 cohort of beginning farmers and faculty via Zoom virtual session to learn about the farm incubator (including a video tour), hear from the students about what it’s like to start their farm businesses, and know what CWC offers for community classes and for-credit courses for small- to mid-scale farmers.
